The Ransom
Sending shivers right down your spine,
it's something that you're prone to, so divine.
You were better at lies,
I was never surprised at the way that it felt.
Now feel the blade, I was always insane.
But you're the one that needs help.

Quick, we have the ransom.
So tell me how you can swim
when ropes are wrapped around your limbs.
Below, there's no more chances.
So tell me how that you can swim
when ropes are wrapped around your limbs.

Breathing slowly never worked for me.
I cut the throat of betrayal to watch him bleed.

A poetic sonnet, passion that I scream to the sky.
I'm tearing up, I feel your love.
Don't leave me behind.
[x2]

The smell of vanity, it went away.
I followed streetlights 'til I wound up at your place.
We traced our veins, we bled for days.
The current was strong enough tonight.
I can taste any more, it lasted on my tongue.
You weren't strong enough to say:

Quick, we have the ransom.
So tell me how you can swim
when ropes are wrapped around your limbs.
Below, there's no more chances.
So tell me how that you can swim
when ropes are wrapped around your limbs.

Grab my heart.
Send it down.
Wet your soul,
and burn it in the ground.

I talked to you today, I heard the tremble of your voice.
Cradle the fall, I know you'll never change.
So please, just hold on.
I know it's hard for you, it's hard to understand betrayal within.
There's a fine line between betrayal and your friends.
So tell me how you can swim when ropes are wrapped around your limbs.

Quick, we have the ransom.
So tell me how you can swim
when ropes are wrapped around your limbs.

I just thought that I should put one of ETF's first songs on here. When I hear the song, I always think of Ronnie. Especially the line 'There's a fine line between betrayal and your friends.' I think that's sort of ironic....

RE: The Ransom
"The Ransom" is probably one of "Escape The Fates"'s best songs, I haven't listened to it in a while though.

RE: The Ransom
One of ETF's better songs. No doubt. I ReAlLy love the bass in the beginning. I'm not sure how well Craig would do with this one...

Yeah, my favorite, who knows, maybe he would do pretty good. It would be harder because Omar isn't in the band and wouldn't scream his parts, but it could be done...

RE: The Ransom
My all time favourite, it's one of those songs I always listen to - it's on my mp3 player since I bought the EP. There's no day passing by I'm not listening to it Blush
